Objectives: To manage and direct all human resources activities of the division, ensuring that the HR objectives and business strategy of the company are reflected in the HR processes and that they are delivered in a professional and proactive manner. Adhere to HR standards and deliver employee-focused HR services in compliance with HR leading practices, government regulations, labour laws, management requirements and HR policies and procedures.
Main responsibilities:
- Implement and contribute to the development of HR strategies for attracting, developing, motivating and retaining employees as set by Management and GM-HR
- Plan, direct, and coordinate human resources activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and manage operational HR functions in line with Group HR policies and procedures
- Assist in establishing and achieving HR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the division and monitor their achievement on a periodic basis
- Manage efficient and consistent employee relations and escalate issues to GM-HR as per set policies
- Prepare the division HR annual budget in consultation with and for the review of the GM-HR and Operations Manager and report/seek approval for variances on a timely basis
- Manage relationships with departments in order to deliver HR services to assist the division in achieving its short and long-term objectives
- Administer a comprehensive integrated human resource management program for the division and act as a focal point for all division HR operations
- Work closely with the PRO to ensure that all government relations processes are implemented in a cost-effective and timely manner
- Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with division employees and departments to meet company objectives
- Be responsible for employee engagement and wellbeing and work to provide a supportive work environment
- Provide timely and accurate information to external and internal auditors in consultation with the Operations Manager and GM-HR, as and when required
- Implement and adhere to HR policies and procedures as set by the Group Human Resources Department. Provide recommendations on improvements to the GM-HR as required
- Escalate legal and compliance matters to GM-HR for consultation with Operations Manager and General Counsel
- Manage the performance appraisal process for the division under the guidance of the Operations team and GM-HR
- Provide support and guidance to employees, facilitate employee counseling sessions, provide advice related to grievance and disciplinary procedures, coach managers on conducting performance reviews, and coach employees on the performance management system and process
- Ensure adherence to employee exit policies and procedures, and calculation and payment of end of services benefits for departing staff- Oversee the reconciliation of payroll processed and ensure its accuracy prior to affecting the monthly payroll
