About the Role:
KBRs Industrial Services Business Unit is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic Turnaround Programme Leader (Business Development) to provide passionate, strategic leadership and growth to the KBR Industrial Services Turnaround business. In doing so, the Turnaround Leader’s focus will be to break into new markets and expand existing ones. The successful candidate must have a unique blend of technical know-how and the ability to develop and deliver a compelling, credible, value proposition to prospective clients. An existing well-established professional network will assist the Turnaround Leader to execute this position successfully.
Direct experience of major Turnaround management on large process plants is essential along with a proven track record of both strategic and tactical planning.
The individual must excel in client engagement at all levels of the organization.
It will be critical for the Turnaround Programme Leader to assess changing client needs and to develop innovative solutions to address them, while introducing and implementing available and emerging technologies that differentiate KBR from its competitors.
The Turnaround Programme Leader shall have a proven track record in safety leadership, experience of, and commitment to behavioral based safety.
Role Responsibilities:
• Creation of both a short and long term Turnaround business development plan.
• Research prospective clients in targeted markets (oil and gas, chemicals, pulp and paper, etc.), pursue leads and follow through a successful agreement
• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline
• The ability to develop and deliver a compelling value proposition to prospective clients
• Researching industry trends and stay up-to-date with competitor’s offerings
• Collaborate with the team to develop a marketing activities plan (conferences, networking meetings, industry events and etc.)
• Arrange business meetings with client’s decision makers
• Diagnose client “pain points” and identify an effectively unique solution which differentiate us our competition.
• Creating sales pitches and developing proposals
• Building trust and long-term relationships with the clients
• Identify partners in local markets (EMEA) which complement to KBR’s offering
• Aware and up to date with newer trends/innovations/digitalization opportunities in TAR management
• Experience in developing TAR strategy, master plan, scope development/freeze
• Experience in TAR sub-contracting and procurement process
• Negotiate the contract terms as part of the team
• Pinpoint opportunities for aftersales
• Must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time

Skills & Experience
• At least 15 years of Turnaround related experience including senior leadership roles with at least 5 or more years of business development experience
• A combination of Turnaround experience in the oil and gas, ammonia, pulp and paper sectors
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Must be trustworthy and be a trusted advisor to clients
• Results oriented, self-starter capable of functioning effectively in a team environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and preferably Arabic
• Ability to organize and manage concurrent activities
• Developed public speaking skills
• Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management
• Attention to detail
Educational Expectations
• Bachelor of Science degree in a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
• Certified in Project Management
