The role of the marketing specialist is to support the Distribution Manager and the Ruminants Sales & Marketing Manager in preparing and implementing marketing plans for our Gulf & Levant markets & develop appropriate plans (Communication and Digital based on Market Insights) to help build strong brands and generate excellent results. Help drive markets to deliver Region and Country Sales and Market Share Objectives.
Work actively on above key topics aligned with Global Marketing teams, involving frequent input, alignment, collaboration, and coordination for development of brand activation, roadmaps, and implementation of key strategies in line with MSD AH Gulf & Levant Business Strategy.
Role and Responsibilities :
Distribution Management
• Provide strategic direction/input for Brand Building and Portfolio management,
• Ensuring alignment throughout the organization with distributors, wholesalers and customers in Gulf & Levant region
• Work with Global Marketing team to launch new innovation strategy, roadmaps, and to prioritize projects for region, involving pilot markets for testing and implementation.
• Proactively advise on digital topics and generate demand in the industry from digital initiatives
• Support MSD AH Gulf & Levant countries on their digital initiatives by providing solutions, standards, guidance and knowledge transfer on all digital platforms (Social Media, Websites, Mobiles)
• Regular benchmarking/ assessing against industry best practices and solutions
• Provide support for selecting and managing key partners, agencies, suppliers and platforms for MSD Animal Health Gulf & Levant projects
• Develop, update and execute local digital strategy in alignment with global digital roadmap

Education & Experience:
• Digital and ecommerce end to end understanding encompassing Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and IT/IS
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing and/or ecommerce channel
• Ability to analyze, interpret and react to real time trends and data
• Proven track record in delivering digital marketing projects
• Has consistently demonstrated success in a number of challenging and diverse business situations
• Good technical and functional knowledge of Internet & social platforms
• Experience in managing signals to interpret and react (real time analysis of trends and data, filtering, listening, adaptive, creating shorter lead times based on dynamic environmental changes)
• Strong relationship management abilities
• Language skills: Fluent in English and Arabic (Preferred but not Compulsory)
• Strong computer skills in Excel and PowerPoint
