Description
Internships have a minimum duration of five months.
An international internship is the ideal opportunity to come into contact with foreign cultures and to gain professional experience on a large construction project. You will meet and work with people from widely varying backgrounds in an international, dynamic environment.
From day one you will be part of the multi-cultural on-site project team. Your main responsibilities on the project will be in work preparation or site supervision but they may also include other tasks related to the realisation of the project. A mentor will be available to guide you, but you must have a very independent mindset as you will be carrying real responsibilities. You will be considered as part of the team, which also means that, just like them, you will be working six days a week, ten hours a day.
An international internship is focused on operational experience. It does not leave room for research or writing a thesis.

Working abroad is always an adventure and a test of character. The most important qualities if you want to enjoy the adventure and rewards of a career in international construction: enjoying a challenge and being able to find solutions for unforeseen situations.As an International Intern you also have the following qualities and qualifications:
You are currently completing your degree in Civil Engineering (or related) at BSc. or MSc. level.
Interest in marine and civil works.
Ambition to work on projects outside Europe.
Flexibility to deal with changing circumstances.
Hands-on mentality and an independent mindset.
Fluency in English (spoken and written), Dutch is a plus.
Driver’s licence (at least EU category B).
Available to start between July-September 2018.
