- Direct, manage and coordinate activities of the personnel working in the Central Sterile Supply Department
- Assist in establishing methods and work performance standards of preparing and handling sterile items
- Ensure that staff members adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
- Implement the safety policy and ensure that all accidents/ incidents are reported and documented
- Record and wash all surgical instruments, tubing, and bottles in the mechanical washer properly
- Ensure safe and effective operation of all the machines in the CSSD
- Store all sterilized packs in the store
- Record of the stock level of all items and monitor expiry date
