Quest Search & Selection is working with a reputable Bakery Factory that are seeking a unique Head Baker (factory production) to lead the production of all bakery products and supervise all the stages of preparation, tasting and storage till the product leaves the factory.
This role is not a hospitality operations role and we are seeking for a Head Baker with industrial background whom will be based in Dubai, UAE.
Job Description
As the Head Baker - factory production, your responsibilities include:
Monitoring the performance of the kitchen staff ensuring they comply with company procedures (30+ staff)Ensure the efficient and smooth running of the operationsPromote and maintain good working relationships throughout the team and organize daily tasks, scheduling, training and disciplinary actions for the teamEnsure sanitation and hygiene of bakery & pastry area are being maintained by staffManage and monitor the consistency and quality of all food producedHigh level of attention detailEnsures proper levels of bakery and pastry items are prepared based on forecasted needs and their prompt delivery to the designated clientControl of food cost and wastageHighly experienced with extremely good organizational and people focused skillsMaintain positive relationship with suppliers and clientsManage ordering of stock
Requirements for an Ideal Candidate (Head Baker - factory production):
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manualsSwift and efficient management styleFluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)Multi-product experience (croissants, Danish and all bakery products)Proven quality and experience with an extremely high standard and consistencyMinimum 5 years’ experience as Head Baker in a factory or minimum 6 years in various positions within Industrial BakeryStrong understanding of the technology processes of baked productsMust have GCC experienceStrong interpersonal and problem-solving abilitiesHighly responsible and reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentCulinary certifications are to be expectedPIC training required
The Benefits
Package offered is between AED 15,000 up to AED 20,000 including all the allowances, company’s visa and medical insurance, yearly ticket and company’s mobile phone.
