Job Purpose
Responsible for leading the preparation of high quality Technical responses to Requests for Proposals / Pre-Qualifications / Requests for Information and coordinating any associated Commercial proposals from inception to completion for the tender & project opportunities handled by the Logistics Division.
Duties/ Responsibilities / Functional Tasks
Support Tender Management
Global Central point of receipt for all Commercial Logistics customer requests for Technical Bids, Pre-Qualifications, Route Survey Documentation and Proposals and Concept of Operations / Execution Plans.
Lead the development of proposals and quotations assigned individually in support of RFP’s/RFQ’s pursued by the company.
Work closely with Move One operations and sales teams in determining the RFP requirements, ensuring all cost elements have been captured on the basis of estimates and final costings.
Draft a comprehensive bid summary for each opportunity, per our standard format, reflecting the key RFP requirements and circulate, along with the full bid package, to the Regional Tender Management group and/or Move One offices after conducting a full and thorough review of each and every large tender opportunity.
Ensure that RFP technical responses are compliant with customer requirements and that commercial proposals/quotations are current, accurate and complete, meeting all of the requirements as set out in the Statement of Work provided in the customer’s RFP/RFQ.
Key Account & Project Pricing
Actively support Sales personnel, Product Heads and Move One opportunity owners in client-facing and/or conference call settings, providing expert analysis & input with regards to the nature of the opportunity, potential solutions and/or challenges, thereby ensuring our fullest understanding of their requirements as part of a consolidated effort to best position ourselves to secure the business.
Preparation of timely responses to all Key Account & Project RFQ’s in line with Move One stipulated guidelines for preparation of quotes with respect to margins, cost analysis and approved service providers.
Lead the pricing of standard transactional quote requests for key UAE & Iraq trade lanes
Quote Tracker & System Updates
Record basic customer information, key RFQ details and dates for each inquiry on the Quote Tracker to maintain visibility;
Ensure regular follow-ups on all pending quotes and status updates for all system generated quotations. Further ensure rate feedback is provided to vendors from whom rates have been procured.
Prepare weekly and monthly Quoting activity reports in addition to any further reports requested by Senior Management.
CAMEA Project Logistics & Trade Lane Support
Work in close collaboration with Country Managers and approved vendors to establish & maintain up to date standardized rates on-file for local transportation, sea / airport handling / clearance & warehousing RH&D;services at all major / established points of origin/trans-load in the CAMEA region, with particular emphasis on UAE & Iraq. Rates to be verified on a quarterly basis at minimum.
Special Requirement
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Travel to high security zones for purpose of understanding operational challenges, procedures to enable documentation of service offering.
المهارات
University Degree
Minimum 3-5 years in a Bid/Tender coordinator, or similar, role preferably with experience gained in pricing in an International Freight Forwarding and/or Project Logistics environment.
Knowledge gained in the UAE and Iraqi markets an advantage.
An existing network of vendors and customers in Europe / Middle East and Central Asia
Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within strict timelines.
Innovative thinker, with ability to work with minimal supervision.
University Degree in Transportation & / or Supply Chain Management would be an advantage.
