The Opportunity
Inhabit is an innovative consulting group exclusively focused on providing specialist engineering services with offices across the Asia Pacific, the Middle East and UK.
Due to our expansion, we have an exciting new opportunity for a highly skilled Facade Engineer with 2-5 years’ experience to join our Dubai team to assist with exciting and innovative projects within the region.
You will work alongside and collaborate with our talented team of engineers, designers and other technical specialists on a variety of challenging projects in both a client facing as well as technical delivery role. Projects range from supertall towers and high profile retail environments across to large-scale capital infrastructure projects within the UAE region. Projects examples Inhabit are involved with include One Za’Beel Tower, Expo 2020 UAE pavilion and Lusail Fifa stadium Qatar.
The role will include:
• Design engineering for façade, steel and RC structures and build-ability consultancy, including material knowledge and installation techniques
• Detailed engineering computations and structural façade analysis, advice and reporting
• Provide technical guidance, support and mentoring to the Façade engineers
• Project management and administration
• Review contractor shop drawings and calculations
• Carry out site visits and inspections
• Liaise with builders, architects and engineers to ensure projects meet the design brief
• Develop strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business as well as pursue new business opportunities

Required Skills and Experience
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structures)
• Solid experience specialising in Façade Engineering within a façade
consultancy or façade contractor
• Knowledge in façade systems and design and relevant codes and standards
• Demonstrated portfolio of medium to large scale projects
• Hold strong interpersonal skills and can demonstrate technical leadership and mentoring
• Proficient in relevant façade & structural finite element software, e.g. Strand 7, STADD
• Programming experience with Rhinoscript, Grasshopper, Python etc. would be an advantage
• Excellent communication, problem solving and organisational skills
• Experience working in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) idea
