Urgent requirement for a Occupational Health Service (OHS) Manager.
Location - UAE
Salary - Upto AED 12,000
Main Duties
• Ensure prompt medical attention for emergency cases;
• Early detection and disposition of occupational health issues;
• Full implementation of preventive health programs;
• Ensure periodic inspections of company-provided accommodation are carried out, and findings reported to Management;
• Provide psychological counseling for employees who are exhibiting clinical levels of stress;
• Maintain a register of patients, non-work related fatalities, recording reports of all illnesses and injuries of staff.
• Liaise with local health providers for med-evacuation and other requirements;
• Provide professional advice on occupational health and sanitation issues;
• Participate in company activities to improve employees’ morale and welfare;
• Provide periodic training to staff on health and safety topics.
• Update the HSEQ Director on any proximate health issues or impending occupational health & safety issues.
• Encourage by example the HSE vision and values
• Support the sustainable implementation of company HSE initiatives
/ programs such as “Safety First” (HSE), HACCP (Food Quality and Safety), IMS (Integrated Management System)
المهارات
Educational Qualifications • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
• Medical license in home country.
HSEQ/IMS • IMS Standards.
• OHS Manager has a “duty of care” to ensure a safe working environment for employees and perform the services to the tandards and to the specifications stated in the contracts.
• Responsible for reporting unsafe acts and hazards to Management as soon as possible and adhere to the control measures implemented on site.
• Identifying actual potential problems, near misses relating to HSEQ in the delivery of the products and services;
• Controlling any process that the OHS Manager believes does not meet the required quality standards; and
• Informing the HSEQ Director, the HSEQ Sector Support Managers, Safety Officers, and Unit Managers as soon as possible to ensure that the appropriate corrective action is taken.
• Immediately report any unsafe or unhealthy condition.
• Immediately report any incident that could affect the health of employees or which has caused or can cause an injury.
