*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Technical
-Performs engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
-Assist seniors in completing design work and production of drawings of complex and large size projects.
-Be able to develop and check structural schemes including comparisons of alternatives and prepare concept design reports
-Be able to prepare and deliver presentations to internal teams
-Be able to produce comprehesinve, accurate and professional structural calcualtions.
-Develop design details (manually and in CAD) for production of drawings.
-Willing to learn new tools such as BIM and model structures using these tools.
-Be able to independently & objectively check works produced by another design team member.
*Teamwork and coordination
-Provides technical guidance to CAD Designers, Drafters, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.
-Maintain good communication and cooperation with all project team members.
-Understand and demonstrate value of diversity. Resolve conflicts with minimum noise.
-Understand and respect the hierarchy in decision making; follow decisions and instructions given by Line Manager/ senior engineers.
-Reviews supplier shop drawings and submittals.
-Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
-Understand the importance of timeliness to internal and external clients. Achieve reliability and credibility in regard to meeting deadlines. Be punctual.
-Maximize billable time commensurate with responsibilities.
-Always keep commitments, particularly time and cost commitments. Acceptance of personal responsibilities.
-Coordinate the work of the project team with other engineering disciplines through liaison with other professionals.
-Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
المهارات
*EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) with minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
*SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
-Membership of Industry recognized professional institute; Preferably has attained professional recognition (PE or Chartered status)
-Receptive approach and Flexibility
-Excellent self management skills
-Strong technical skills
-Knowledge of corporate standards; Good project management skills and business acumen
-Well versed in structural analysis software such as MIDAS / SAP2000 / CSI Bridge / STAAD
-Familiar with BIM process / procedures and platforms for e.g. Autodesk / Bentley / Tekla
-Well versed in analysis and design of bridge projects using American and Eurocodes
-Guide team members to produce designs and manage production by junior Engineers and draftspersons of designs of bridges, prepare design reports and get the related drawings prepared
