· Forming and managing print production schedules
· Identify and select suitable options for binding, inks, paper, varnishes, and special printing processes
· Recommend both; efficient, time-saving project production flows and the best printers for the specific project
· Select and negotiate with vendors to agree on best price, quality, and due date
· Communicate the designer’s requirements to vendors
· Organize and monitor the flow of printed materials in the organization
· Oversee the work of staff in the department, monitor the quality of the product and ensure deadlines are met.
· Liaise with sales managers, editors, graphic designers, project managers and art directors, and coordinate the process of printing according to company requirements

· Candidates must have a passion for the craft of printing
· Ability to think on your feet, troubleshoot and solve problems on short notice
· Ability to improvise and think on your feet
· Superior problem solving skills and ability troubleshoot at short notice
