Job Description
• Strategy: Conducts in-depth analysis of business intelligence and big data architecture elements and identify target architectures and gaps from baseline in line with RTA technology strategy
• Innovation: Identifies new and emerging business intelligence and big data technologies and assesses their relevance to RTA technology strategy and architecture
• Enterprise Architecture: Supports in developing and implementing data governance practices and standards to enhance and maintain an accurate, complete, secure and reliable data architecture
• Enterprise Architecture: Creates, reviews, and improves RTA data architecture practices and standards including but not limited to BI and big data, metadata management, data catalogs, data classification, and data quality management
• Enterprise Architecture: Establishes design guidelines, standards and requirements of data architecture and ensures that architectural modeling is embedded in RTA technology practices
• Enterprise Architecture: Develops and maintains data architecture models including conceptual, logical and physical models and ensures that architecture repository includes up-to-date data architecture models
• Requirement Definition: Identifies, evaluates and recommends data architecture alternatives for business cases
• Portfolio Management: Provides expert advice to technology portfolio manager on the portfolio dependencies and re-use of existing big data and business intelligence capabilities from an architecture point of view
• Suppliers: Provides expert inputs during Request for Proposals (RFP) development and evaluates vendors’ proposals for data management related domains
• Projects: Provide expert advice to project managers on data management programs and projects and manages complex business intelligence and big data programs and projects as required
• Governance: Ensures compliance with data architecture principles and standards for various systems and components
• Acceptance: Contributes to project related architecture reviews and ensures compliance with RTA data architecture policies and procedures
• Data Operations: Initiates and leads data quality improvement initiatives in coordination with data owners and the data governance committee and coordinates data quality improvement
• Service Requests and Incidents: Participates in data management services and operations for addressing BI and big data reporting requests and incidents
• Knowledge Management: Supervises the delivery of big data and business intelligence related training material and training programs to RTA end-users and technology support staff
• Establishes metrics for tracking and measuring the value of data architecture initiatives such as measuring model reuse, impact on decision making or improved data quality across RTA master data
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.
Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or Computer Engineering from a recognized university.
• 8 years of working experience.
• Professional Architect Certificates such as SOA, TOGAF.
• Excellent working knowledge of business intelligence, master data management, and data management standards, frameworks, and design patterns
• Have experience with various best practices/standards in the market such as DAMA, MIKE 2.0, TOGAF, and COBIT
• Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
• A computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering a wide variety of applications.
• Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
• Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring the ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
