Job Description and Requirements
This position will see the selected candidate working closely with the operations managers in the business, sitting in on meetings with senior managers, helping them to understand where they are with their budget spend, and whether their clients are paying on time
The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for managing the process for issuing invoices, credit notes and revised invoices for the KSA clients
You will also have significant input into credit control and key involvement in preparation of the financial statements related to the KSA clients
Candidates should be used to working directly with Senior Management, and not be afraid of liaising with external auditors in the Big 4
Responsibilities:
Oversee posting of all time-sheets & deal with timesheet queries/issues (including checking for duplicate time entries)
Distribute Client Pre Bill Reports to Project Managers for approval
Oversee all Labour & Expense transfers
Organise Client and Intercompany Billing
Process the distribution of all clients billing
Reconcile client accounts
Maintaining client project files and client invoices
Research client billing backup requests
Responsible for setting up new project codes to the system
Research all complex client billing requests and issues
Chasing payment of outstanding invoices and credit control
Key input into financial statements
Key point of contact for KSA related clients
Work with the senior management team on assessments around efficiency and profitability of KSA projects
Requirements:
Candidates straight from the Big 4 firms will be considered
Previous senior accounting experience in a professional services organization
Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic is essential
The role is to be based in Dubai with weekly travel to Riyadh for 3-4 days per week
Experience of working to tight reporting deadlines
Ability to manage workload pro-actively
Advanced Excel skills
Sound working knowledge of GCC working environment, especially KSA
Experience working in a MNC
Relevant professional qualification in accounting is preferred (CMA, CPA etc)
