The Senior Manager will support the Al Wasl Director and lead on all aspects of show operational planning. They will lead on integration of the various production companies to ensure that all show operational aspects have been scoped and will be delivered accordingly, in conjunction with the organisational wide services that will be delivered by Expo 2020’s Event Operations team. The main responsibilites of the role include: - Provide leadership and guidance to ensure an effective operational planning and delivery of the production and operational aspects of the Ceremonies & Daily Productions team; - Lead planning of the various site operational elements for show productions including cast spaces, rehearsals, and cast movements; - Manage the planning, receipt, storage and transfer of all props, costumes and scenic items required to be stored within the Ceremonies compound and/or other storage locations; - Liaise with the Expo relevant departments, and stakeholders to ensure operational delivery requirements are planned, integrated and agreed for all aspects of Ceremonies & Daily Productions; - Work closely with key Expo 2020 operational departments and functional areas to create the operational plans for the Ceremonies & Daily Productions department, including integration with overall Venue Management planning, site programming and the master calendar; - Lead the planning and operation of Ceremonies & Daily Productions support spaces including the Ceremonies compound (technical/props/scenic workshops and storage), cast rehearsal and welfare spaces, creative preview suite, production offices and control rooms; - Lead operational planning with other Ceremonies Department projects, contractors and suppliers (across Ceremonies, Daily Productions, Creative, Technical) to ensure efficiencies and clear communications with other Expo departments; - Any other tasks, as directed by the Director, Al Wasl.
المهارات
8+years’ experience in the operational and logistics requirements for a large-scale event and/or ceremony, within film, theatre, live events or TV, as well as:
- A Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field;
- Significant experience with planning and delivery of large scale Ceremonies and shows as well as significant experience dealing with creative contributors and performing cast;
- Knowledge of Mega Event operational planning and delivery along with able to manage, direct and coordinate a wide range of people at differing levels of authority;
- Significant experience in delivering large, complex programmes of work;
- Ability to develop positive relationships among internal and external stakeholders, peers and senior management;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to lead a team that supports several internal departments on key issues;
- Displays the highest levels of integrity and commitment;
- Excellent negotiating, communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) and be nd be flexible, resilient and positive though organizational growth and change.
