The Associate Manager- International Dayswill support the substantive engagement of non-official participants (international organisations, NGOs, foundations, academia and corporates) around the 13 international days that will be curated by the Expo 2020, as well as the general overarching theme of “connecting minds – creating the future”. The main responsibilities of the role include: - Support the development of a conceptual framework for each of the international days that will be celebrated during the Expo 2020; - Map international, regional and national stakeholders/ potential partners around the Expo 2020 curated international days; - Research and present key concepts, themes and issues of the international days as they relate to the United Arab Emirates, the broader region, and at the international level; - Support the identification, design and later implementation of projects, research studies and initiatives held in conjunction with EXPO 2020 non-official participants; - Coordinate between relevant Expo 2020 departments and sub-departments to ensure that all content/ programmatic activities around substantive engagement is captured by the department; - Support the team as necessary to fulfill the “job purpose” outlined above.
المهارات
4+ years’ experience of relevant work experience including in positions of leadership and project management, as well as:
- A Bachelor degree in international development planning, political economy, or other relevant discipline;
- Excellent knowledge of international affairs;
- Strong negotiation skills;
- Strong communication skills in the language of preference to the country as well as in English, both written and oral;
- Strength and interest in an operational role;
- Cross-functional management experience;
- Strategic thinking.
