Position : Senior Technical Engineer Duration : Fulltime(Minimum One Year deputation at customer location - Extendable) Job Location : Dubai, UAE. Salary Budget : 16K-18K AED Per Month + 2 Weeks of Accommodation (Twin sharing basis) + Air Tickets + Insurance Job Purpose To design and Support Data network Infrastructure.
Working as part of a design & Support team, the Senior Technical Engineer will design, develop, support and deliver robust and cost effective Data Network solutions for IT led initiatives including solution development and cost estimations, Configuration and Deployment & Business Case Development & Approval.
To support, contribute and ensure solution compliance to the enterprise architecture, production processes.
Job Outline Produce fit-for-purpose Network Infrastructure designs for hosting business solutions. Ensure that the design is robust, appropriate and of high quality and conforming to Corporate network and security standards and in line with the technical strategy. Ensure that the developed architecture/solution meets the service level requirements in terms of expected availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance and reliability.
Publish and maintain high quality documentation and network diagrams for Data Network technology area. Working within the standard templates and documentation guidelines which include detailed design, configuration details, support procedures, operations manuals and deployment architecture. Ensure any changes being carried out are reflected accurately in the documentation and diagrams.
Provide expert technical consultancy and guidance to Emirates Group dealing within the network technology area and act as lead technical member in the Project team delivering the work packages assigned.
Effectively monitor and critically review the implementation of change requests relevant to Data Network Area. Ensure that assigned problems and incidents are defined and analysed in line with the Problem/Incident Management Process. Ensure that assigned incidents are resolved within the agreed Service Levels and where applicable, workarounds are provided to minimise business impact and Own & manage changes within the Technology Area to ensure least impact on the business. Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources.
Define, Establish and Maintain Data Network technology architecture baseline and standards. Contribute to policies, reviews, strategy.
Identify and assess risks associated with the network infrastructure. Develop risk mitigation strategies and plans related to network infrastructure. Manage End of Life replacement of network equipment in line with the defined risk management strategy. Proactively implement relevant mitigation steps to reduce/eliminate the impact of known security vulnerabilities.
Qualifications and experience: • CCIE Routing and Switching or CCIE Wireless
• 8+ years’ experience in data network technology area.
• Designed and implemented complex network solutions for large enterprise
• 5+ Years’ experience in providing 3rd level network infrastructure support troubleshooting complex issues including different technology areas.
• 5+ Years’ experience in implementation of solutions using Cisco/Meraki equipment.
• Proficient and hands on experience on the following network technologies/Protocols: WAN/LAN, Wireless, Routing & Switching, MPLS, BGP, VPN, load balancing, Wireless Network, Network Management tools
• Exposure to Cloud technologies.
• Proficiency in DNS and DHCP
