Position Objective: The role of a Drilling Specialties Account Manager will be to direct all commercial activity for the business unit within the Middle East/North Africa territory, consisting of all oil producing territories within the region. The incumbent will represent the product line to regional operators and service companies and will manage a wide variety of agents, distributors, and other channel partners conducting approximately $30 MM in annual sales. The position also manages local inventory, blending operations and provides direction for local customer service representatives. Roles & Responsibilities:
Personal safe work practices and promotion of Operational Excellence (OE) principles in fulfillment of all duties
Monitor regional market intelligence, regularly identify industry trends / competitive activity for use by the management team
Build value-added relationships at the top levels of customer organizations to meet commercial needs and successfully represent the Drilling Specialties portfolio
Achieve profitable growth and sales targets within an annual budget by successfully managing the regional distribution network
Prepare forecasts representing regional demand changes for monthly S&OP;meetings
Lead negotiations with key accounts to secure long-term business
Manage regional warehouse and consignment inventories
Effectively communicate new product introductions and business development initiatives for distributors and channel partners
Effectively manage travel expenses and utilization of other internal resources
Coordinate semiannual customer and sales meeting events
Organization: Incumbent will report directly to the Drilling Specialties Eastern Hemisphere Sales Manager. The position will be located at CPChem offices in Dubai or a home office within the region. Drilling Specialties Company, a division of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP, has been serving the oil industry for more than 70 years. Our specialized products have been designed to deliver high performance and value to an array of oilfield fluids. From proprietary drilling, cement, and completion fluid additives to an assortment of stimulation and EOR technologies, our products are used in drilling, completion and workover processes.

Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Science related field required
Minimum of 10 years industry experience in technical sales or commercial roles
Successful demonstration of inter-personal skills, strategic planning and analytical strengths
Proven ability to drive the sales process by negotiating/closing sustainable new business
High level understanding of financial metrics, cost to serve, margins and profitability
Strong oilfield business acumen and industry expertise
Qualifications Strongly Preferred:
Master’s in Business Administration
Drilling Specialties business knowledge and experience
Broad oil services industry knowledge and contacts
Experience with SAP, Catalyst, Lotus Notes, and transaction processes
