Chef kitchen culinary back ground - Italian/Mediterranean foods
Scope of job is to prepare food items in any section of the kitchen assigned per standard recipes to ensure customers satisfaction is consistent with BIG Apple Bagels
Job Key Details
Organize staff rosters and allocate tasks
Organize the kitchen with all the cooking utensils and equipment
Make sure all dishes are same and of the right size
Observe food stock and make orders when necessary
Prepare food in a timely manner
Understand each recipe and collect all necessary ingredients
Reduce costs through following standard recipes and avoiding wastage of resources
Preserve high standards of hygiene and grooming in the working area
Oversee the cooks and provide them with the required assistance
Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
Job Qualifications and Experience
Should hold the necessary culinary qualifications
Experience minimum 5 years as a chef is highly desired
Should have good knowledge in Italian food
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Should be ready to start work immediately
Good leadership and customer service skills
