OPERATIONS MANAGER Our client is a rapidly growing e-commerce meal kit company who are looking to change the way people cook and eat forever and to achieve that they’ve invested in hiring the best people and creating the best systems. The company is currently looking for an Operations Manager to lead their operations efforts. The ideal candidate will have a large central kitchen, supermarket dark store, or meal kit background in operations. Experience with goods in, goods out and production functionalities. The operations manager is responsible for all elements of their operations: the performance and growth of the kitchen team, analysing and developing operational strategies, and implementing new projects that address the needs of their growing customer base.
Mission The mission of the Operations Manager is to consistently achieve an OTIF score of 99.5% by Q1 2020.
Accountabilities, Goals and Outcomes • OTIF – Achieve 99.5% quarterly average monthly meeting customers’ expectations: the
right fresh, high quality ingredients delivered on time within 6 months
• Labour costs – improve labour efficiency by 10% within the first 3 months by reviewing all processes and effectively organizing the kitchen teams
• Launch two new delivery days with 3 months of starting
• Implement all initiatives in the product development pipeline within agreed timelines

What You Will Need: • 5 years of operations management experience, ideally from a large central kitchen, supermarket dark store, or meal kit business
• Excellent people management skills
- You are experienced in hiring and building great teams on a large scale. You can coach and develop talent within each functional area of fulfillment (quality and production)
- You have a demonstrated ability to effectively develop and manage a large team while driving its culture
- You have an interest in spending most of your time on the shop floor and working directly with all levels of staff
• Excellent process development skills: you are able to drive continuous improvement when it comes to Safety, Quality, and Cost
- You have a comprehensive background in quality, fulfillment, logistics, and warehousing
- You have deep knowledge of lean and agile production
- Customer service is an obsession and you’re willing to do whatever it takes to satisfy customer needs
- You’re experienced with electronic production management systems
• Strong strategic skills: you recognize and resolve situations that are ambiguous or challenging and use logic to identify alternatives, evaluate, and present approaches to solving complex problems while thinking in terms of contingency plans
- You are very comfortable with conducting excel analysis to help with effective decision making
