A Key Account Manager with the global leader in the creation of Flavours and Fragrances, and a key member of our Fragrances Consumer Products Sales team for the Middle East & North Africa region while being based in our Dubai office - Your future position?

Givaudan’s CP teams are present in every region of the world. Years of experience have resulted in an innate knowledge of consumer preferences depending on the segment and geographical location. Our CP teams work together to create the success that Givaudan thrives on and brings together a variety of skill sets - creation and evaluation, consumer market research, marketing, sampling, sales, customer relations, and QC, and we have a selection of key competencies present in each region.
We are currently looking to expand our Fragrances Consumer Products Sales team for the Middle East & North Africa region, and have opened up a new role to recruit for a ‘Key Account Manager’. Based in our Dubai office and reporting into the Fragrances Consumer Products Sales Manager for the Middle East, you will be expected to develop and execute a business plan across our various Consumer Products categories and targeting key Customers in the Gulf countries to achieve Givaudan’s commercial and sales objectives in the region.

In this exciting position, you will:
Develop our business:
• Develop a thorough understanding of the current and target customers and their brands.
• Manage, grow, and defend existing Givaudan business in specific consumer product segments.
• Set up/review/monitor strategic and category account plans, sales forecasts, and budgets.
• Follow KPI’s versus targets (sales, gross profit, win rate, etc.) and take corrective actions, if needed.
Bring your passion:
• Establish and cultivate strong relationships with internal and external key decision-makers.
• Attract new business by identifying and creating mutual business opportunities
• Build and manage a project pipeline, ensuring the most efficient usage of Givaudan resources.
Position our products:
• Monitor fragrance trends, competitive activity, and product development.
• Identify and articulate value drivers for the customer and drive Givaudan’s value proposition by strategically positioning Givaudan products and technology.
Lead focus projects and Customer briefs:
• Manage customer briefs as well as pro-active innovation and development projects.
• Using your project management skills and ability to motivate and drive others, you are the centre point assuring overall success.

Your professional profile includes:
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 5-7 years relevant work experience in a sales, key account management, or a business development role in the Fragrances/Ingredients/Consumer goods/FMCG/Chemicals/Specialty oils sectors, preferably in a multinational work environment.
• A strong passion and appreciation for the world of Fragrances and consumer products.
• Good knowledge of customers, competition, and an existing customer network in the Gulf/Middle East region will be ideal. Experience in additional countries or markets in the region will be advantageous.
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in English and Arabic. Additional knowledge of other languages like French will be advantageous, but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to apply strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting skills to develop account plans.
• Strong business acumen and able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of profitability goals for key accounts.
• Can effectively execute all account management steps in the brief handling process; understands how to manage scale-ups.
• Can effectively generate new business by identifying unmet customer needs.
• Ability to build strong relationships with key customer decision-makers.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• IT skills - Proficiency in using common PC applications, good MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel skills.
• Excellent presentation and project management skills.
• Able to travel frequently in the region as required.
