This role is responsible for tracking, reporting and analysing the financial elements of both internal and external manufacturing projects by preparing project costing budgets, monitoring progress of projects, investigating variance of project costs, reviewing expenses, ensuring billing is up to date for external projects and producing project accounts and reports. Key Responsibilities
Build project management budgetary control system for tracking of all budget and controlling costs
Manage supplier and contractor accounts with detailed tracking of payment terms and project duration
Facilitate ad hoc project requirements and review budget compliance for all variations
Liaise with procurement team to facilitate efficient procurement policies
Communicate with suppliers for trade financing arrangements
Create detailed list of ongoing and future projects to ensure completeness of all project records
Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders
Review funding limits and the payment of expenses into and out of project-related accounts
Review and approve supplier invoices related to a project, linked to budget
Review and approve time sheets for work related to all projects
Review and approve overhead charges to be applied to projects
Review account totals related to project assets and expenses
Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management
Confer with receivables / payables staff regarding unpaid contract billings for external projects, or payments
Report on project profitability to management
Report to management on any opportunities for additional billings for external projects
Maintain a detailed tracker regarding the remaining funding available for projects
Create or review all project-related billings to customers
Investigate all project expenses not billed to customers / included in internal project costs
Respond to requests for more detail from customers or management
Close out project accounts upon project completion
Prepare necessary inputs for all necessary compliance requirements
Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required
المهارات
Education: A bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, followed by a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent) with detailed knowledge of project budgeting and monitoring. Experience:
Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience, with at least 3 years’ experience as a Project Accountant.
Qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA, or equivalent
