Job Purpose : The Data Scientist will be responsible to build innovative AI and Machine Learning models on the bank’s data that can be deployed in production at scale. He/she will translate between the business and the advanced analytics and data architects and advise business teams with data driven insights. He/she is expected to drive analytical initiatives across the bank by engaging with right resources and technologies along with best industry standards. They key responsibilities include:
Build predictive and prescriptive models on the Hadoop ecosystem including models that utilize streaming data platforms
Handle all kinds of structured and unstructured data (internal and external) to derive insights out of it.
Work with Data Platform specialists and the ETL team to create proper data pipelines useful for analysis.
Works closely with business and other stakeholders to ensure success criteria is achieved
Ensure the analytical models are accurate and useful in terms of business benefits
Promotes data based decisions across the organization
Effective team player and coordination abilities.

Required Skills
At least 5 years’ experience in analyticsdata related projects.
Ability to work on agile methodology
Proven Project Management skills
Domain knowledge in Banking and Finance sector
Excellent understanding of machine learning algorithms such as Random Forests, Decision trees, Logistic Regression, Principal Component analysis, Gradient Boosting, Spatial analytics etc.
Good experience in data science platforms like Python or R
Experienced in design of data pipelines and guide platform specialists to deploy Machine
Learning models in the right way
Proficiency in query languages like SQL, Hive and NoSQL databases like HBase, Cassandra
Experience in building AI models using Spark on the Hadoop Big Data Platform, including using streaming data pipelines.
Able to demonstrate multidisciplinary skills in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine
Learning, AI, and Finance
Deliver Analytics projects with best quality and within timelines.
