JOB DESCRIPTION:
Detect vulnerabilities linked to the human factor through social engineering attacks such as phishing attacks and pretexting
Identify improvement areas for information security awareness and training from social engineering attacks results
Design security tests based on design principles and best practices
Select and design appropriate tools, scripts, or platform to perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
Perform scans to identify information security vulnerabilities
Analyse attack and vulnerability data in security controls of systems, applications, and networks and recommend changes
Conduct planned penetration testing and vulnerability assessment on systems and applications
Conduct hands-on technical testing and scenario-based security testing
Perform security reviews of application designs and associated source code and deployment methodology
Perform web application assessment through several techniques such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting
Test newly deployed or configured solutions and systems to ensure information security requirements are met
Interpret and document findings from vulnerability assessment and penetration testing exercise and communicate them to relevant stakeholders through detailed reports
Perform extensive research using publicly available, trusted resources and other finished vulnerability products to stay informed of commonly known vulnerabilities and new tools/processes for performing penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
