We are hiring a Data & Research Manager on behalf of our client, a leading local developer. The Data & Research Manager will be responsible to set up Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning and business-oriented Data Analytics department within Our Clients Malls Business Unit to retrieve internal and external data on our Customers, Competitors and Markets and wrangle it into usable information, with the end objective being a sustained increase in Customer Footfalls, Customer experience and corresponding sales across our Retail portfolio. For this purpose, he shall use state-of-the-art research, data mining and data analysis tools including (but not limited to) R, Python, Machine Learning, SQL, Advanced Statistics, Big Data and Statistical Modelling. Submit short-term and long-term business plans based on advanced analysis of our key properties, existing and potential customer base, competitors and market outlook.
Conduct organizational reviews to identify risks, strengths, opportunities and weaknesses in addition to evaluating operational effectiveness of the Business unit.
Submit strategic projects that aim at increasing the Market share of Our Clients Malls via being the “first mover” across relevant business categories.
Propose detailed CRM and Marketing strategy based on data insights
Submit elaborate Business Performance insights and guide the management on Market expansions, Value creation and Innovation.
Extend customer database and utilise existing data to understand customer’s profiles and identify target shoppers.
Develop automated databases and reporting systems to capture business performance, effectiveness of marketing campaigns, shopping behaviour trends, competitor statistics and other relevant metrics.
Design research studies that meet the rigor of Our Clients Malls’ standards.
Develop linkages with national and international research agencies/experts (Visa, Mastercard, Bloomberg etc.) to develop intelligent and actionable information on and across geographies, markets, customer profiles and competitors.
Building collaborative relationships with all marketing teams to gain an in-depth understanding of customer base through insight, segmentation and data analysis
Gather information directly or liaise with and direct field interviewers to gather information.
Develop electronic databases to gather and analyse data.
Analysis and reporting on campaigns effectiveness in terms of traffic, acquisition, conversion, retention and revenue.
Produce research-based briefings, advice and action plans.
Prepare, present and disseminate results to the management for efficient decision-making.
Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data.
Maintain clear communication channels with stakeholders both internally and externally.
المهارات
The Applicant:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field is essential. (MBA is preferred)
5 -7 years of experience in a similar role with a large organization in GCC
Strong Experience in R, Python and MATLAB
Good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab, etc (depending on specific project requirements). Excellence in at least one of these is highly desirable
Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, liner and multiple regression
Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, SAS)
Experience in quantitative and/or qualitative methodologies and research techniques.
Numeracy and confidence in using statistical techniques and software.
Logical thinking supported by strong analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal, team working and communication skills.
Report-writing skills
Project management skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
A flexible approach to be able to work on several different research projects at the same time.
Organisation skills, including time management and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
