Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow up on Rail system interface and integration issues and related project support, control, management and monitoring of all post-contract stage design and its development.
Review and provide advice on the latest international best practices for the betterment of Rail interface and integration through liaison with International Rail Operators, Specialist Consultants and other rail industry organizations.
Support the roles and responsibilities of the Direct Manager and Project Managers in the execution of their duties.
Provide support and involve in the pre-contract stage planning and development of railway projects and strategic transportation vision.
Study and propose optimization opportunities and efficiency improvements related to various aspects of integrated Railway projects.
Support individual Project Manager to ensure that the Contractor and Engineer assigned to the project adhere to the pre-agreed schedule of design, Installation, Testing and commissioning.
Manage Contractor and Engineer for correctly and timely implementation of system integration deliverables.
Follow up, monitor and attend as required, Factory Acceptance Tests and inspections, On site Testing and /Commissioning as per Director directions.
Follow up and support on Operation Trial and revenue Operation readiness.
Conduct regular site inspection visits as required.
Provide full supports to the development, maintenance and implementation of the Rail Agency design standards, guidelines and manuals as required and necessary.
Provide Technical supports and advise to the Contract and commercial team on Contract, Claims, Variations, Engineer and Contractor payment certifications, negotiations and settlements.
Provide projects progress status and issues and prepare reports to the director and management as required.
Assist in the preparation of project cost reports and other financial reports.
Participate in developing rail agency strategic objectives and initiatives.
Coordination with relevant third parties and stakeholders during various phases of the project such as DEWA, Nedaa, Dubai Police, TRA, Etisalat, Du and etc.
Conduct value engineering throughout the project and advise direct manager on implementation.
Identify and Compile Lessons Learned highlighting causes, problems and develop recommendations and solutions for improvement.
Follow up and monitor projects defect liability period in coordination with relevant RA departments.
Monitor continuously the risk register and ensure contractor/Consultants are implementing all mitigation measures related to system interface & integration and report any concerns.
Review the related Hazard Log, safety notices and ensure support is provided to system assurance team during the various phases of the projects.
To provide support and assistance to Rail Agency department on issue related to system interface and integration.
Assess and recommend innovative solutions and advance technologies for system interface and integration.
Review strategic policies on systemwide integration design, implementation and obsolescence managements.
Provide support to prequalification of relevant consultants, contractors, service provider specialized in System interface and integration.
Ensure knowledge transfer and management including lesson learned, technical assessment, support job shadowing and training.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position when appropriate.
المهارات
Qualifications:
Master degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering / Telecommunication from a recognized university.
10 years’ experience in major Rail systems projects، with minimum 5 years or more of design management experience in a particular rail system/discipline.
Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of applications.
