MANAGER - QUALITY

الوصف الوظيفي
 Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Quality Department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
 Ensure QC inspections / NDT are conducted as planned, timely and accurately.
 Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 Standard and best practices.
 Maintain all Quality related certifications as per the standards without any major non conformities.
 Ensure the project delivery excellence and cost efficiency, by developing and implementing a robust Project inspection regimen as per approved project quality plan and standard / class requirements.
 Review the scope of works and establish production objectives, standards and production schedules to ensure timely delivery as per project requirement of all the projects undertaken.
 Identify and act upon opportunities for improvement to the product or service quality including QMS & processes.
 Liaise with project managers / client / class societies as deemed for discussion on project matters and resolve issues.
 Oversee department manpower, equipment and various other resource requirements and ensure optimum use of the same by ensuring cost control is exercised throughout the year.
 Assist in employee recruitment, training, performance evaluation, retention and termination activities.
 Provide on the job training to the subordinates, conduct performance assessments and carry out succession planning within the department.
 Ensure that the Health, Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
 Perform other job related activities as assigned by the VP HSEQ & BE.
المهارات
 Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical / Marine Engineering or any related discipline.
 Minimum 10 years working experience in Quality Control or related field in Ship Repair Yard with conversion and new building facilities with minimum of 2 to 3 years as functional head.
 Fully trained and knowledgeable with relevant Safety and Occupational Health & Safety standards.
 Acquired skills in physical testing methods and technical writing ability.
 Good knowledge of steel, pipe welding procedures and protection systems / coatings.
 Strong background with resolution of technical issues during projects planning and execution phases.
