Job Description and Requirements The job requires the individual to plan, direct and control all activities of the production and processing departments, pertaining to supervision of processes, procedures and people. This encompasses production scheduling, quality control, maintenance, shipping, inventory control, profitability, and recruiting and training of all personnel involved. Responsible for the entire production activities by maintaining utmost quality standards as per client / project specifications while meeting demands and offering utmost customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Oversee production startup every day, of all production and processing departments during setup and startup, assuring coordination of support services including, maintenance, warehouse, etc. with respect to production assistance. Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for production in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications. Review production / project schedules and production orders to determine staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments. Reviews production orders and schedules to ascertain data such as types, quantities, specifications, and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan necessary operations. Plans production operations, prepares operation schedules, coordinates related activities, and plans all materials and capacity utilizing the latest technical tools and practices. Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and inventory problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Interacts with QC on quality issues, customer returns and/or customer complaints, as needed. Responsible for staffing, personnel issues, and safety in work area. Responsibilities include hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Direct responsibility to assure maximum production performance in all processes including, rework reduction, process efficiency, overtime, product quality, through clear communication with maintenance, QC, warehousing, human resource, finance, purchase and sales. Closes out all production orders, analyzes margins, cost detail reports, inventory analysis, shipment reports etc. Initiating and organizing development training in co-ordination with HR Dept. for continual improvement. Promotes co-operation & team work and leads by example. Maintains good relationships with internal functional groups and external customers.
