Our client are a leading Manufacturing organisation within the HVAC industry in the region and are looking for a Head of Cost Control & Planning to be based out of their headquarters in the UAE.You will be responsible for:
Reviews project budgets and subsequent cost estimates / plan, as well as monitors, adjusts and updates the cost plan accordingly
Develops tools, matrices, and formats for collecting data, tracking, trending, forecasting, and archiving cost/schedule information
Works towards achieving the Product, Material and Production Cost Control function’s strategic goals and reports progress to executive management
Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers and vendors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded
Ensuring the Project controls team produce weekly / monthly reports in line with the project providing details on progress, actuals, forecast and explanation of variances
Integrates project schedules for forecasting cash flow requirements, and participates in the development of schedules
Attends review meetings to discuss project progress and to assist in developing alternatives to accommodate changes in priorities and evaluate schedule impact of proposed changes throughout the project
Attend the weekly commercial review meeting and presenting the status of projects and milestone achievement along with actual cost against payment certified amount to identify the cash flow trend of the project
Attend internal audit review meeting and presenting the status of the project to MOA
Core Competencies
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good analytics and reporting skills
Experience with Accounting and cost and inventory systems
Have a high-level attention to detail
Have the knowledge of Costing concept
Working on Budget and Forecast
Key Requirements
Bachelors’ degree in Engineering
Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar role
Extensive experience and technical knowledge of HVAC manufacturing. (Min. 10 years)
Post Graduate degree in cost planning, focusing on engineering product manufacturing
