Responsibilities and Duties
Achieve sales volume and profitability target for company
Identify potential customers or markets with the goal of maximizing the firm’s profits or share of the market, while ensuring the firm’s customers are satisfied.
Contribute in analyzing market dynamics, distribution strategies, competitive threats, and value chain proposition to specify pricing and benefits of the product offering to meet customer expectations, evaluate offering against competition and implement competitive differentiation.
Generate enquiries, finalize specifications, prepare quotes, submit proposals, & ensure timely execution of orders to meet sales revenue targets
Plan calls with existing and potential customers, including cold calling, to create and develop excellent customer relationships and generate enquiries.
Maintain ‘CRM Notes of Activity’ or maintain data in the ‘Customer Relationship Management’ system.
Coordinate marketing activities to promote products and services.
Follow-up for recovery of insurance claims for customer’s shipments.
Interact with customer to understand their urgent requirement and get them shipped accordingly.
Interact with factory regularly to ensure the manufacturing schedule are correctly implemented as planned.
Follow-up with senior sales coordinator at the factory to ensure that the targeted monthly shipments are achieved as per the plan.
Advise senior sales coordinator to transfer finished products lying in stock from one customer to the other customer after due consultation with General Manager.
Work closely and communicate effectively with company and Principal company’s staff.
Check up and promptly inform GM about any anomalies pertaining to order, manufacturing, shipments or any other area related to sales
Follow-up with production to ensure manufacturing schedule regularly to ensure maximum utilisation of machine deckle, maintaining continuity in factory production and ensuring minimum generation of general stock.
General
Recommend improvements to department’s policy and implement procedures and controls covering all areas of Sales function, so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering quality, cost effective service to customers.
Ensure compliance to all relevant QHSE procedures and controls across Sales function to guarantee employee safety, health, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Organisational Relationships
Reports to : General Manager – Sales & Marketing
Direct reports: Senior Sales Coordinator
Travel : Frequently travel to local & overseas customers

Job Specifications
Qualification, Knowledge, Experience
a) Academic Qualification and Professional Qualification
Professional marketing background with Post Graduate degree in sales & marketing, business.
b) Experience (minimum preferred)
7 to 10 years’ experience in a professional sales/marketing organisation
Business to Business sales experience and close working relationship with clients from paper packaging industry.
Technical Requirements
Able to demonstrate key sales/marketing competencies and a proven track record in international markets.
Fluent in English.
Proficient in computer applications
- MS Office (Excel, Word and Power point)
- Email software (MS Outlook and other)
- CRM software
Key Competencies
Good commercial acumen.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Hands on knowledge on all methods of gathering sales and market data.
Outgoing and confident.
