1. Responsible for the safe lashing /unlashing of containers on-board vessels.
2. Places/removes a twist lock into the corner casting of a container –
3. Lashes or unlashes containers to the deck of a ship using lashing bars, extension bars and turnbuckles –
4. Affects the unlashing/lashing of all containers relevant to the port call on vessels - Assists with all manual labour required operation –
5. Accompanies Health Inspectors/Customs Officers to open containers required for inspection –
6. Carries out any other tasks required as directed by the Lashing Foreman, e.g. painting, cleaning, washing of terminal plant, assisting Engineering Department, etc. Desired Candidate Profile 2 years of labor experience
