Following are few of the job responsibilities but are not limited to:
- Should have good knowledge of local vendors dealing with Engineering goods, machines, vehicle spares, heavy & commercial vehicles, LPG, aluminium, steel etc.
- Must have knowledge of international commercial terms and its impact related to import/ export.
- Must be aware of scientific and commercially viable cost reduction techniques.
- Preferably should be familiar with international standards specifications for metal, steel, aluminium etc.
- Stores management, inventory control and overseas procurement of engineering items essential.
- Must work as a liaison between all departments and the suppliers for coordinating purchases.
- Should be knowledgeable in negotiating and finalizing Annual Maintenance Contracts.
