• To assist senior and project management with the implementation of the Company, regulatory and Client’s minimum HSE requirements and annual objectives;
• To assume full line management responsibility for Project HSE staff:
o to ensure adequate project HSE staffing, both in terms of quantity and quality;
o to monitor performance, identify any training needs and to coach on a one-to one basis as required;
• To establish and be the custodian of key HSE tools and processes that cover all HSE related risks and that are in line with Companys’, regulatory and Client’s minimum HSE requirements;
• To agree the (annual) HSE objectives and action plans, with Regional/Country and Project Management and Project HSE Managers, that cover all HSE related risks and that are in line with Company’s, regulatory and Client’s minimum HSE requirements;
• To help line management with taking full ownership of health and safety matters by assisting and acting as coach, and by providing a healthy challenge when appropriate;
• To provide input for management boards and team meetings;
• To organize and/or conduct HSE technical and management system audits, and to monitor proper follow-up of improvement actions at project and regional level;
• To ensure adequate HSE input to prequalification- and bid documents;
• To assist Project Management and Project HSE Managers with providing HSE assurance to Clients, incl. participation in HSE coordination meetings as required;
• To conduct and/or facilitate the reporting and investigation of accidents and incidents, and to maintain an oversight with regards to follow-up and close-out of corrective actions;
• To maintain an oversight on data integrity and timeliness of the Monthly HSE reporting;
• To ensure the administrative follow-up of HSE management system documentation;
• To identify HSE training needs and liaise with the training/HR department regarding the organization and administrative follow-up of HSE training programs;
• To provide a positive contribution to the Company Group HSE network by contributing to or leading ‘federal’ projects at Company Group level.
