Chief Engineer
Our client is a stunning 5-star Hotel and Beach Resort & Spa located on a beautiful beach in Dubai.
As a Chief Engineer, you are responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the Engineering Department and ensuring that the property and assets are maintained in the highest order through the implementation of the Engineering Management System and the appointment of suitable competent personnel.
Supervises and directs the activities of the supervisors and technicians.
Monitors engineering activities to ensure adherence to establishes policies, operating procedures and standards.
Prepares comprehensive budgets and forecast to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the department.
Supervises, develops and maintains an ongoing maintenance operation for the resort, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventive maintenance, resort rooms, air/heating units, ice machines, swimming pools, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, switch rooms, roof exhausts, electrical substations, etc.
On an ongoing and regular basis, inspects and evaluates physical condition of entire resort asset, including all guestrooms, public areas, pool area; completes and retains inspection reports on a regular and timely basis. Handles any grievances, suggestions and complaints forwarded by colleagues.
Submits a comprehensive monthly report to the Operations Manager
Be familiar with and comply with all relevant Engineering department policies, procedures and processes.
Partakes in occupational health and safety initiatives and forms as a part of the resort occupational health and safety committee.

Desired Skills
Ideally have a formal qualification – min 5 years certificate City + Guilds / N4 in mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years in a senior hotel engineering management position and a minimum of 10 years experience in hotel engineering management.
