Salary package 25K for the Medical Coordinator and Occupational Health Specialist. JOB PURPOSE: Plan, coordinate, implement and supervise Occupational Health & Hygiene Programs in Abu Dhabi and Das Island locations. This include carrying out assessment studies of the Company’s existing / future OH requirement and recommending appropriate monitoring activities at various operations to ensure that working conditions and environment are maintained at the optimum level of health standards to so as to achieve ADNOC-- policy objectives on Employees Health as per Occupational Health guidelines of ADNOC KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Job Specific Accountabilities Carry out regular audit of workplace conditions and environment to identify prevailing occupational health risks and advise pertinent mitigative measures Coordinate the establishment & implementation of Occupational Health Management system as per ADNOC code of practice on Health Develop Occupational Health processes; i.e. Occupational Exposure Limit (OEL)...etc. that address accepted International standards and applicable legislation, ADNOC Codes of Practice and HSE Management System requirements. Monitor the implementation of Occupational Health policy, procedures and best-fit practices to reduce the industrial risk on employees, assets, and operations. Develop and lead the implementation of HSE Improvement Program such as: hearing conservation, heat stress management, radiation safety, air indoor quality, chemical exposure management, and other initiatives. Review with Crisis Management all serious potential occupational health to ensure that all issues are considered and effectively mitigated through emergency planning. Implement, evaluate & provide professional advice on Health Management programs including Occupational Health management system (OHSAS 18000) Plan, advise and assist in conducting work environment & biological monitoring sampling to determine major sources of airborne contaminants such as SO2, H2S, welding fumes, Isocyanates and other substances hazardous to worker’s health Prepare detailed reports of OH monitoring and provide advise on deviations from optimal workplace conditions, existing and potential occupational risks Evaluate and participate in the approval of new/revised operating procedures, systems, measures and other remedial actions relevant to health and environment Evaluate information / data on toxic chemicals and other substances including waste materials & assess their impact on employees’ health and suggest effective countermeasures for risk mitigation Carry out periodic OH audits and approve adequacy of preventive measures introduced to control potential occupational health risks at work Participate and advise in health risk assessment studies for new projects and in the evaluation of possible risks of major industrial hazards and advise on on-site / off-site requirements. Develop and implement employee awareness programs on Occupational Health issues Maintain records and files of health compliance data developed through workplace monitoring and surveillance activities, including exposure monitoring of chemical, biological or physical agents Liaise with Das Clinic / HR in formulating an occupational health database for establishing effective health surveillance for exposure to physical, chemical, biological & ergonomic health hazards Carry out statistical analysis of OH data, identify deviations from regulatory / international standards & present to management for formulating revised policy & procedures Recommend appropriate occupational sampling equipment and scientific instruments for all the tools and instruments used for occupational health and medical matters. Generic Accountabilities Supervision Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives. Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives. Budgets Provide input for preparation of the Department/ Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives. Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, Quality standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards. Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations. Performance Management Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework. Innovation and Continuous Improvement Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function. Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices Reports Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal Regular contact with all Das Island personnel up to Divisional VPs/Department Managers and Das Hospital External Contact with counterparts within the ADNOC Group Companies, and Government Departments for co-ordination and exchange of information. WORK CONDITION: Physical Effort: Minimal, with standing, walking and driving a light vehicle while outdoors. Approximately 70% of the working time will involve sitting with PC. Work Environment: Normally air-conditioned office environment, with approximately 30% of the working time will be outdoors المهارات Minimum Qualification Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health, Environment or any equivalent Medical discipline Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills a) Minimum Experience 6 years of experience in Occupational Health in Chemical / Petrochemical / Oil & Gas Industry b) Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of operational risks assessments. Understanding of industrial hygiene Skill in relevant computer applications Good knowledge of written & spoken English. Valid UAE Driving Licence.
