We are looking to hire a Senior Designer for structural design & analysis of industrial & commercial buildings at our Dubai office.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
• Planning, Estimation, Analysis and Design of Hot Rolled, PEB and LGS warehouses and residential units as per customer needs for cost effective solution.
• Structural Analysis and Design of Composite deck floors
• May be assigned responsibility for schematic or conceptual layouts when qualified. Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters.
• Research design options and document findings for Design Manager/Project Lead Engineer.
• Assume the Lead Engineer’s role on assigned projects.
• Develop probable construction cost estimates for his/her projects within the department.
• May direct and supervise activities of other Designers/Drafters.
• Coordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, etc.
• Handle routine contract administration.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelors or master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of structural design experience in the GCC
• 5+ years of experience working conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables
• 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience in designing building structures.
• Innovative, competent, and result oriented.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and IT skills.
• Preparation of Technical and Financial Proposals
