DMCG Global is looking for a Senior Communications Director - Aviation to join a well-established government advisory firm in the Middle East.
This person will need to have a good knowledge of the civil aviation authority and ideally a good understanding of government affairs.
The position will be based in Dubai.
Job Description:
• You will be responsible for developing strategies related to the Civil Aviation Authority across UAE and Saudi.
• You will be involved as a senior leader in helping to manage and consult top regional clients.
• You will be available and hands-on as a senior leader, working on all aspects of the business from HR to business development to strategic client counsel.
• You will be comfortable working in close partnership as a key consultancy partner, sitting around the table with management consultancies, ministry leadership, other government ministries and senior industry leaders from the private sector.
• You will also be comfortable advising smaller clients and helping the junior team manage client expectations and generate compelling results
Minimum Qualification
• Extensive experience working with directors of communications and/or strategy for government clients, preferably in the Gulf
• Experience of the Civil Aviation Authority.
• Strong background and at least 5+ years experience working in the aviation industry.
• Designed, developed and led launch communications programmes for new entities
• Track record of elevating client reputations by implementing decisive communications programmes (gulf clients preferable)
• Created campaigns with global impact
• Has developed and provided reputational counsel to clients facing a crisis
• Has structured work, developed systems and driven implementation
• Can lead and mentor staff through challenging accounts
• Awareness and deep interest for domestic, regional and global current affairs.
