A Japanese consumer electronics company is looking for a Senior Executive – Legal and Compliance.
• Location: Jebel Ali
• Legal advisory work and interpretation
• Provide legal advisory / interpretation to Senior Legal Counsel and/or Division Head to ensure statutory compliance with existing laws and regulatory requirements.
• Clarify points of internal company policies to relevant stakeholders as needed
• Keep abreast of legal trends , new laws in jurisdictions where company does business
• Working with Documents and Drafting
• Draft and develop company’s contract templates
• Review internal and external contracts and documentation to ensure compliance with company’s policies and the laws within the concerned jurisdictions
• Review and draft various types of agreements and legal documents including but not limited to: Power of Attorneys, MOU’s, Board Resolution, NDA’s, License agreements, Sales and Distributorship agreements, Privacy policies, terms of conditions, and others
• Work with outside counsels and handling disputes
• Regularly follow up on all ongoing or pending legal matters.
• Liaise with external lawyers for obtaining legal advice
• Monitor legal budget for handling disputes
• Coordination and Reporting
• Liaise with regional office and HQ
• Prepare monthly and quarterly legal and compliance reports to relevant stakeholders
