Requirement:
• Good technical qualifications like Engineering degree/Masters in Science/PhD
• Well-versed in all technical aspects of #Containerboard/#Corrugation.
• Conversant with paper grades , specifications of fluting , liner (Kraft liner/test liner)
• Able to handle customer complaints independently
• Handle testing of paper quality/Board strength
• Supervise lab personnel
• Calibration of lab equipment
• Minimum 10 to 15 Years post Qualification experience in using analytical methods and statistic to monitor and to find improvement opportunities and solutions
• Minimum 10 - 20 years of work experience in the corrugated packaging industry.
• Ideal candidate should be from corrugation industry.
• Good Knowledge in various corrugation design calculation like: (ECT- Edge Crush Test; SCT – Short Span Compression Test, BCT – Box Crush Compression Test)
• Advises on the most economical corrugated board combination against the corrugated board strength (ECT, Bursting strength), in cooperation with Pre costing team and Product design. Consult on request the product design team regarding corrugated board compositions for special applications.
• Conduct theoretical ECT calculations based on the strength of the paper, the SCT and CCT and compare these with the measured ECT, to find and monitor the correction factor related to the company’s corrugating process. Issue the standard corrugated board grade list, based on ECT, Cost and Produced (sold) volumes. Eliminate low volume grades.
