Hiring Senior Financial Controller
Salary: AED 25k+/month + benefits + performance bonus (final package based on experience and qualifications)
Job Summary:
The Applied AI Company (AAICO) is seeking a highly experienced, proactive Senior Financial Controller to oversee the group’s day-to-day accounting function. The ideal candidate will have a CPA, CA or CFA qualification and a proven track record of group and management accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports and dashboards.
• Independently manage and monitor budget performance, identify variances, and develop corrective actions.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure the timely completion of annual audits and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Consolidate group accounts for multiple subsidiaries and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across different jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with international tax law and oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations for each of our subsidiaries.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
• Help build, manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, including setting goals, providing feedback, and facilitating professional development.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance and/ or accounting is required.
• CPA, CA or CFA qualification is required.
• IFRS & cross border group accounting experience is required.
• 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting with a well-known accounting firm or investment bank is required.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Knowledge of GAAP and US tax regulations is desirable.
• Experience in software companies and/or startups is desirable.
