Location: Dubai
• Receive the enquiries from sales coordination/Sales team and accurately study the drawing.
• Evaluate scope of work and other factors that impact the cost.
• Visit sites/clients for job brief and measurements.
• Liaising with CNC machine operators to estimate the machine time required.
• Quantity take offs for preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for material, labour, equipment, subcontracts etc. and share the same with operations manager for quotations.
• Ensure submissions of proposals as per the deadline.
• Sourcing for subcontractors as required.
• Sharing estimates/BOQs with design, procurement and stores to enable them to carry on their tasks.
• Physical inspection of podium units that require refurbishment to plan their cost.
• Revise estimates to incorporate revisions in design, specification, variation etc.
• Tracking all inquires and estimates submitted and presenting a weekly report to the line manager/management.
• Constantly evolving technical skills by having a better understanding of the drawing and related production issues.
• Contribute towards new approaches and innovative ideas for improved productivity, quality and suggest alternative material to reduce cost.
• Ensure cooperation within the team.
• Ensure interdepartmental cooperation by proactively identifying problems and finding solutions for the same in coordination with your line manager/management.
• Work in shifts and group companies as required.
• Adhering to company’s policies & procedures, rules and regulations.
• Carrying out any additional task as and when assigned by the line manager/management.
• Degree/Diploma in Engineering.
• 2-3 yrs. experience as an estimator in an advertising industry/production house,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to resolve problems and provide acceptable solutions UAE D/L will be an advantage.
