Job Description
FUNCTIONS:
• Act as principle contact between the Sales Department and the customer
• Meet dealership Sales Satisfaction Survey levels and objectives
• Maximize dealership sales of new vehicles in line with requirements set by the Sales Manager
• Responsible for the sales of the traded in franchise vehicles.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Customer Satisfaction:
• Greet customers promptly and courteously.
• Identify customer needs by demonstrating interest in them, listening, and establishing an advisory relationship.
• Offer all customers a demonstration drive
• Ensure that customers receive a thorough explanation regarding the added value in the product.
• Create a pleasant non pressured purchasing experience that will yield repeat customers.
• Ensure a perfect delivery using checklist and delivery time accuracy
• Contact all customers within one week of vehicle delivery to ensure total satisfaction
• Follow up with customers on a reasonable, but periodic, basis throughout the ownership experience.
Sales:
• Aggressively pursue sales in the market, have knowledge of and advise customers of dealership benefits that can increase sales
• Maintain the company’s customer record accurate and properly utilize the IMS i.e. Kerridge
• Prospect for customers using, telephone, personal contact, referrals, etc.
• Know competitive products, local market influence and be able to discuss them with customers.
• Ask for referrals at the close of every sale
• Maintain a closing ratio according to dealership policy.
Skills
Interdepartmental Relations: Work with the service department to provide customers the best possible treatment before, during and after sale
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all dealership personnel
House-keeping / Safety - Keep desk and office area neat, clean and organized all times
• Ensure that demo vehicles are in a clean and presentable conditions at all times.
• Treat all dealership vehicles and other equipment in a manner that follows safety and security standards established by the dealership.
