The Deputy General Manager is responsible for building the right expertise within the division to enable the organization achieving its vision and objectives. The position will include effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision making to attain desirable profitable results for the organization. The Deputy General Manager will maintain and enhance relations with the construction community as well as a positive attitude that promotes the company’s vision and core values within the department and creates a favorable image of the company.
Profitability and Sales:
• Develop strategies and policies to achieve the company’s future goals.
• Achieving sales and profitability goals and increasing the company market share through regular sales efforts.
• Mange and continuous development of the service organization
• Strategize and plan the sales process management, forecasting, pricing, key account management, working capital, profitability, supplier relations management including obtaining the right suppliers portfolio to serve the company objectives.
• Ensure proper mix and growth of the three main market channels as well as developing a network of approved sub-contractors
• Proactively monitor and assess competitor initiatives, take tactical decisions to counter, protect and enhance the Company’s position
• Establish sales goals and develop plans to achieve them
• Mange regional managers for both sales and services
• Coordinate and liaise with shared services and other functions (HR, Finance, Supply chain, IT,…etc) to insure managed units are served properly and customers requirements are fulfilled to highest levels of service.
Staff Management:
• Create and maintain an atmosphere in which employees willingly produce at maximum capacity based on their belief and trust in company’s vision and core values.
• Plan and assign work to subordinates and monitors them from time to time.
• Ensure to hire qualified candidates for the requirements.
• Conduct regular meeting with sales teams to discuss target status, product training and sales strategy
• Plan for and provide opportunities for employee advancement and development
• Lead, coach, motivate and supervise team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned tasks
• Financial Accountability
• Full responsibility for units P&L;.
• Develop annual operating budget as well as all project budgets and oversee them.
• Ensure reporting requirements are clearly available enabling proper monitoring, transparency and facilitate decision making.
• Monitor KPIs and OKRs ensuring consistent performance.
Reporting:
• Prepare overall performance reports for executive management.
• Ensure both macro and microenvironment awareness presence supported by reliable reports including competitive intelligence as well as market intelligence.
• Update management on business conditions, operational situation and financial performance.
Financial Accountability & Reporting:
• Striving to maximize profit margin.
• Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
• Prepare financial report for effective management that clearly shows operational effectiveness.
• Submit monthly reports, general information, and recommendations to the Superiors.
المهارات
The Deputy General Manager should be a confident business leader who has experience effectively managing and running a business. Excellent communication and leadership skills are vital for success in this role.
• Overall 10 years of industry experience out of which a minimum of 5 years of related business experience in GCC.
• MBA from an accredited reputed university.
• Work responsibilities involve Kuwait and the GCC region.
• Worked in international organizations (modern leadership style)
• Been involved in organizations under change.
• Team player and strong leader.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve goals within set timeframes and within budget
• Advanced written and oral communication skills including attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to be innovative
• Computer software competencies including Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have strong command in English both verbal and written. Arabic would be an advantage, but not a must.
