Job Purpose
Responsible for managing the design projects by monitoring and reporting on all projects that span across the various design phases whilst ensuring that projects are running smoothly and effectively and follow the terms and specifications that were agreed on in the Project Development Plan, and as per BMC set Policies and Procedures.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
₋ Assist in the development of the Operations Division’s budget and maintain approved budget to ensure all Design activities are within the assigned budget by setting the required targets and responsibilities.
₋ Assist in the implementation of the Operations Division’s established policies and procedures and comply with BMC’s other policies.
₋ Administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
₋ Manage multiple projects within the Design Department from concept to production ensuring projects are delivered on time and budget.
₋ Clarify the duties, roles and functions of BMC’s Design team members in order to ensure project deadlines are met in accordance to customer specifications.
₋ Create and implement BMC’s Design Project plans and execution, ensuring compliance with set guidelines and customer requirements.
₋ Encourage contributions and input from BMC’s Design team members and other key stakeholders of the project and acknowledge efforts made by team members, rewarding them accordingly.
₋ Approve design reports and quality documentation in compliance with BMC’s quality standards.
₋ Establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating corrective action.
₋ Analyse performance against plans and make adjustments consistent with plan objectives, in order to ensure deadlines are met in line with set specifications.
₋ Give clear and unbiased assessment of the movement and nature of projects in relations to production costs and expenses.
₋ Conduct periodical internal status meeting (weekly, bi-weekly, etc.) to present projects status and agree on major and key milestones and ensure proper management of the projects in order to deliver the design project successfully.
₋ Liaise with clients in regard to amendments of project plans whenever deemed necessary.
₋ Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.
₋ Prepare and submit periodic reports to direct management pertaining to department activities and any issues that may arise.
المهارات
₋ Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design / Architecture, or related degree
₋ Minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience in the same or related field.
₋ Computer Aided Engineering Drawing (AutoCAD, REVIT...etc.)
