Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
STRATEGIC
Assist the Director in the development of the annual plan to guide the Project Management department
Assist the Director in developing and validating the scope of services and related decisions for large and complex projects during the marketing and contract development process
OPERATIONAL
Identify business opportunities through client relationships by listening and seeking out new projects that may exist or are being formulated
Develop and maintain positive relationships with consultants, contractors and jurisdictional/approval agencies
Participate in the preparation and negotiation of the contractual agreement with the client through inputs to the proposal and business development team
Participate with management in preparing proposals by assisting the Head of the Proposals department (e.g. in defining project scopes, exclusions, project risks, initial schedules, estimations for man-hours, direct costs, profit margins etc)
Lead multiple project teams as the Project Manager
Manage projects (e.g. Completes work plans, identification of project team members, budget, sub-consultants, schedules for completion, fees and costs as well as variation orders etc.)
Conduct interviews with clients to understand their needs, confirm requirements, obtain information and ensure that all design facets of the projects are correctly scoped; develop an insight on how to proceed with the concept design of the project
Maintain client relationships throughout projects by keeping clients informed about project progress on a regular basis; initiate and maintain contact with other key project individuals for clarification, coordination and negotiation of critical issues
Prepare project presentations and lead client presentations as and when required
Facilitate and conduct in coordination with the Lead Designer, Briefing, Concept, Preliminary, and Detail Designs as well as contract document work sessions with clients, consultants and engineers and assure project inter-disciplinary and quality control coordination
Review and approve project strategies and engineering guidelines into unified designs for client review and approval
Ensure consistent communication related to project information between project teams and the respective clients
Review and ensure tender documents are in compliance with laws laid down by regulatory authorities
Ensure that the Quality Management Program is initiated and adhered to across project life cycles
Work with other Project Managers to avoid or eliminate conflicts in schedule due to changes in various projects
Solve complex project issues by providing team support and assists in developing solutions to technical issues
Communicate with consultants, contractors, sub-consultants and other disciplines to ensure project details are carried out that includes technical issues
Foster and maintain a collaborative atmosphere with all sections of the Design department
Ensure smooth management of all correspondence with clients, sub-consultants and contractors
Ensure proper project filling, document storage management in line with company procedures
Prepare and collate the Project Execution Plan and ensure the correct and consistent BIM Management Plan has been adopted and included in the Information Exchange strategy.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Develop and maintain a motivated and stable team
Conduct performance evaluation for staff and take decisions on career movements
Identify training and development needs for the staff and agree on the training and development plans
Work with Director and Human Resources to identify a succession plan for all key resources within the team
Coach and mentor resources to take on higher responsibilities within the firm

Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an Accredited University
Registered with the Kuwait Society of Engineers
Certification in PMP would be preferred
Professional Experience
12 to 15+ years as an engineer working in the Construction industry that should include 5+ years as a Senior Engineer and 5+ years as a Project Manager handling large and complex projects
