Key Accountabilities
Maintain up-to-date knowledge about the pastry industry and ingredients.
Plan dessert menus and pastries to complement savory dishes.
Devise recipe ideas from scratch and adapt to seasonal ingredients and know-how to clean, prepare and organize ingredients and workstations in the kitchen.
Ordering raw ingredients and supplies, keeping an inventory, ensuring the kitchen and its equipment is always clean and in proper working order, and that hygiene and food safety protocols and rules are respected.
Verify the conformity of raw ingredients and products throughout the manufacturing process, checking weights and quantities and inspecting the appearance of finished products.
Oversee a team of junior pastry chefs and other staff members and oversee the premises and equipment.
Collaborate with Quality audit checks by Quality control department.
Support with investigations related to non-conformances to approved policies and safety standards.

Hospitality & Catering diploma
A foundation degree in culinary arts
Any health & safety and food hygiene courses
