Role Purpose Performs the leadership, facilitation, people management for the section of IT Infrastructure and Operations (I&O;) Services in addition responsible as the owner of data center, including computer operations, data and operations support, compliance to Information Security policy and safety procedures.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Key Accountabilities Key Activities
1. Business Management of IT I&O;• Develop IT service portfolio
• Develop relationship management including working with business customers on future business requirements, SLA management, negotiating needs, and communicating and remediating results
• Manage the financial and chargeback (including budgeting, service accounting and asset management)
• Manage vendor and supplier relationship
• Manage project and internal/outsource resource management
• Manage IT service continuity
2. IT I&O;Services Strategy and Planning • Develop data canter strategy, consolidation and optimization
• Develop IT service and operation design
• Improve IT I&O;process and optimization
• Evaluate emerging technologies and business potential or impact
• Evaluate, set and enforce I&O;management standards
• Evaluate and select vendors and products
3. Managing IT I&O;Production Engineering • Manage the level 3 support in infrastructure administration including: Server platform, databases, middleware infrastructure, client devices & operating systems, networking storage systems, facilities, operating management engineering
• Manage patching and version management for I&O;• Lead the infrastructure troubleshooting and incident/problem resolution
• Implement IT service continuity
• Manage the I&O;projects (e.g. consolidation projects, upgrade projects and new business services)
4. IT I&O;Pre and Post Production Integration Testing and Release Management • Manage the release management including the production control
• Manage and schedule the test environment
• Manage the capacity planning of the shared test environment
5. IT Production Operations Management • Manage and support the day-to-day production environment including:
• Level 2 support and possibly level 3 support for infrastructure
• Storage management
• Infrastructure administration
• Job scheduling management
• Print and output management
6. IT Service Support Management • Driving for ITIL service support model
• Manage service support in following areas:
• Change Management
• Configuration Management (including inventory management)
• Incident Management
• Problem Management
• Availability Management
• Service Level Reporting
7. Data Center Management • Gather, analyse, and priorities detailed requirements
• Provide local coordination in support of projects, programs or initiatives affecting data center
• Provide troubleshooting and sustaining activities in cooperation with support partner
• Oversee the vendor deliverables within the data center
• Assist with capital and non-capital procurement
8. People Management • Manage section staff by ensuring that the right people are placed in the right jobs, that appropriate training is given and opportunities for development are provided to ensure that services are offered as per established standards
• Provide timely inputs on an annual basis for workforce planning and cooperates with the HR function to ensure that all vacancies are filled
• Manage employee performance through direct and indirect supervision
• Supervise the training and development of staff

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Necessary knowledge and Experience to be able to do the job • 10 to 15 years of IT and business industry work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders. Experience in the areas such as network, database administration, computer operations and production support.
• Requires advanced to expert level in managing group of more than 10 technical staff.
Education and Certification requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
