Job Objective
This position is predominantly meant to establish non-marine QA/QC organization with a special emphasis for oil and gas sector projects and assignments. The candidate shall develop required QA/QC frame work for catering to the needs of oil and gas projects by way of developing project procedures, quality plans, IT Ps , objectives, weld maps, various QA/QC forms and formats, etc. He shall identify skill gaps at organizational level in terms of welding qualifications , standards/ codes compliance, worker level competence and recommend the management to organize the same.
Develop Project quality plans, project QA/QC procedures , Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) ,etc. basing the project requirements
Liaise, coordinate and engage with clients to translate client/ project/ contract QA/QC specifications and requirements to ensure conformity.
Obtain , update and maintain client specifications and procedures during the project cycle and refer the same as necessary in the project deliverables
Develop welding related process documentation such as weld maps, o carry out Ultrasonic scanning on weld joints and interpretation
Provide quality solutions as per client requirements and deliver within budget and contract.
Carry out fit up /welding inspections generate required reports to confirm meeting the project specifications.
Carry out NDE inspections as mandated in ITP and issue reports.
Ensure repair / rework cases are systematically documented, investigated, root causes analysed and actioned for close out.
Ensure that document control practices in keeping with project requirements are strictly adhered during project phases.
• Quality Records (QR) are generated , maintained and produced for verifications during audits, project reviews , third party assessments, etc.
Review bid documentation and provide QHSE inputs for the proposal submission.
Conduct, liaise, coordinate project and departmental QHSE audits and follow up to complete close out actions.
المهارات
Extent of education credentials
Graduate Mechanical Engineer from a recognized university.
Extent of professional experience
1) Qualified Welding Engineer / Inspector (AWS/CSWIP)
2) ASNT Level II (MP/PT /UT)
3) Internal/ Lead Auditor ISO9001:2015
Exposure to best practices in leading companies
5 to 8 years’ combined experience in marine and non-marine sectors.
Computer skills
Competent with generic computer applications. CAD exposure is preferred.
