Job Summary
The Logistics Officer plans, performs and control the logistics operation activities within the organization. This position directs the shipment clearance and ensure effective and efficient monitoring/tracking of all inbound and outbound shipment at all times
Job Responsibilities 1
Principal Accountabilities
* Responsible for arranging shipment arrangements for inbound and outbound.
* Handles shipment clearances.
* Tracks and monitors shipments to ensure on time delivery.
* Develops reports on products/materials movements and various operational logistics issues.
* Updates stakeholders (internal/external) on the status of their shipments in transit.
Job Responsibilities 2
1. Logistics & Mobilization
* Develops logistics along with support plans, budget requirements and organization timelines for new operations.
* Creates operational procedures and method statements
* Prepares reports on material/products and personnel movements and various operational logistics problems
* Assesses existing logistics operations systems and advise on corrective measures to be undertaken.
2. Quality and Safety Management
* Assists in designing and developing standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
* Comply with all applicable company directives, policies, and procedures.
* Monitors the material movement to and from the workface does not cause damage to the works, the workforce or the public.
* Monitors team safety training are completed as required by company and client’s standard programme.
3. Customer Service
* Ensures customers receives their products in a timely manner and good condition.
* Communicates effectively with clients and responding to their requirements.
* Coordinates and presents logistics support to ongoing operations.
Job Knowledge & Skills
* Knowledge of logistics (inbound/outbound) Operations
* Knowledge of Import documentation and export documentation
* Good communication skills, with experience of communicating cross-culturally.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and other related software
