Our Client, a world-class construction and engineering group, requires a dynamic Project Manager to manage project resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Project Management: ensure that contractual requirements of the project are within contractual terms
• Cost Management: Financial analysis, contractor cost control & cost dispute analysis
• People Management: management of site based staff that consist of production staff, quality representatives, safety representatives and quantity surveyors
• Manage project budget and ensure project budget control
• Risk management and risk mitigation
• Communication with internal and external clients in writing and verbally with regards to contractual matters
• Building, and maintenance of effective relationships with relevant stakeholders
• Preparation of various reports: Reconciliations/Progress/Financial etc.
• Ensure compliance to Company policies, procedures and standards
• Support the surfacing team in the execution of all facets during the project life-cycle
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Degree/National Diploma Civil Engineering
Project Management Diploma / PMP / MBA
Minimum 15 years relevant experience
Extensive experience of both claims submittable and claim defense, negotiate contract terms, pricing and payment schedules
Experience in managing Asphalt projects
Financial Management acumen
Contractual Management acumen
Experience in the rehabilitation of roads and surface seals advantageous
