QA/QC Manager reports to the Chief Operating Office with having responsibilities & authorities for:
- Managing the QC team and coordinate their daily activities to ensure optimum resource planning and a fully motivated competent workforce. To take corrective action when necessary.
- Validation of Welding Procedures Specifications & manufacturing processes (mill set-up).
- Implementing and maintaining QC processes throughout the whole process.
- Monitoring and enforcing compliance and level of work standards across the QC functions.
- Ensuring that work is carried out efficiently and paperwork is maintained accurately and in accordance with applicable standards.
- Providing a central point of communication for all departments in respect of product quality issues ensuring that all information is cascaded to and from the QC team. Actively engage in problem solving and solution finding.
- Advising production staff on product information, usage, sort levels, percentage losses and rejections as required.
- To liaise with customer appointed QC’s and assisting customer visits where necessary.
- Recommending disposition of all defective products as per customer requirements & applicable standards/specification and ensuring effective implementation of recommended dispositions.
- Ensuring that the data reported in form of inspection reports is complete and correct.
- Reviewing of reported details of material and product non-conformance (defect reports).
- Monitoring the product throughout the manufacturing process
- Planning, coordinating, and directing quality control program designed to ensure continuous production consistent with established standards.
- Ensuring that all required tests & procedures are properly applied from production to the delivery of finished product.
- Controlling all inspection, testing activities, measuring and test equipment related to bevel inspection, welding inspection, final inspection and customer inspection.
- Ensuring that the personnel performing inspection and testing are qualified and trained.
Authorities:
- Assigning Manpower as required.
- Stopping the Production Mill if product quality is jeopardized.
- Approval of Validation data for Welding Procedures Specifications.
- Approving rework, rejection or acceptance of product.
- Sharing project details with customer representatives.
- Recommending department quality objectives.
- Writing employee appraisals for professional growth.
Accountability:
- Disposition of defective products as per customer requirements & applicable standards/specification and effective implementation of recommended dispositions.
- Product quality monitoring & improvement.
- Inspection methodologies and tools of inspection.
- Accuracy of data reported in form of inspection reports.
- Removal of monogram from nonconforming product & product release.
- Validation of Welding Procedures Specifications & manufacturing processes
Qualification:
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Applied Sciences having minimum 05 years relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Sciences having minimum 06 years relevant experience
- Associate Degree in any Science Discipline having minimum 08 years relevant experience
- Technical Diploma / Certificate Course having minimum 09 years relevant experience
المهارات
• Minimum 03 years of management experience dealing in Pipe Manufacturing as per API Spec 5L & API Spec Q1.
• Having NDT Background & knowledge of weld inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of ASME, ASTM & NDT Codes and Standards.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
